Workshop Engineer Position Overview

Our client, a reputable family-owned business with over 20 years of experience in the plant industry, is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing a diverse range of heavy and small plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, fork lifts, and other equipment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and repair all heavy and small plant machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Provide expert diagnostics and fault-finding skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with washing down machinery when the Yardman is unavailable.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar business and position, with a strong background in heavy plant maintenance.
  • Full Driving Licence, with a valid UK driving license.
  • Availability to work one weekend day every other week.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum.
  • Standard working hours: 7:30 - 5:30 Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday 8 - 12pm.
