Job Type: Long-term to Permanent
Salary: £90-£105 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team at a specialist provision unit in a school in Wandsworth. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the SENCo and classroom teacher to encourage interaction within lessons and provide support to students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the SENCo and classroom teacher to develop and implement lesson plans
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs
- Keep accurate records of student progress and development
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working in a primary school or nursery setting
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Teaching assistant or childcare qualification or relevant degree
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
