Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Compliance: Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle equipped with a HIAB crane, adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure and safe transportation of goods.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly.
  • Route Planning: Plan delivery routes efficiently, taking into consideration traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Documentation: Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time, including proof of delivery and any relevant documentation.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Valid Class 2 Driving License: Valid Class 2 driving license with an up-to-date CPC and HIAB certification.
  • HIAB Experience: Proven experience as a HIAB Driver Class 2, with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transportation laws.
  • Physical Abilities: Excellent spatial awareness and maneuvering skills, especially when operating the HIAB crane. Ability to handle goods with care and attention to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks as required.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
