Civil Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Gloucester. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure projects, including drainage, service, and road infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop infrastructure projects, including drainage, service, and road infrastructure.
  2. Prepare associated drawings from concept stage through to construction.
  3. Conduct Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, and Service Strategy Reports.
  4. Design and detail works associated with highway and drainage agreements.
  5. Develop and maintain client relationships.
  6. Prepare reports, including Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
  7. Use AutoCAD to prepare drawings.
  8. Design and detail foul and surface water drainage systems using MicroDrainage.
  9. Use ground modelling software for design of horizontal/vertical alignment, earthworks, etc.
  10. Negotiate with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and Environment Agency.
