Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Planning Assistant to join our team at Search. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a vital role in assisting our Private Client Financial Planners in providing exceptional financial planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning Support: Assist in the provision of financial plans and advice to prospective and existing private clients, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard and in accordance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Report Writing and Communication: Develop and maintain report writing and communication skills to enable effective communication with clients, including the preparation of financial planning reports and presentations.
  • Database Management: Ensure accurate and efficient management of client data and records, using our Intelligent Office system to track and log work, and maintain up-to-date internal records and management information.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and agree contracts with clients, in conjunction with the Financial Planner or Head of Research, to ensure that all agreements are in place and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the financial planning team, including filing and storing records and files in accordance with internal standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience of working in financial services in a financial planning, research, or technical capacity.
  • Qualifications: Diploma qualified (and ideally on the way to becoming Chartered).
  • Skills: Good listening and communication skills (written and verbal), evidence of technical competence, and IT skills including use of laptop/desktop computing, Microsoft Office (or equivalent), and database (CRM) management.
  • Personal Qualities: Adaptable to changing demands and priorities, able to prioritize workload, and able to work to deadlines.
