Job Opportunity: Digital Skills Tutor

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Islington to support the appointment of a Digital Skills Tutor on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. If you are a qualified educator with experience in adult learning, we encourage you to apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging courses in digital skills, utilizing effective assessment tools, innovative lesson planning, and appropriate teaching techniques to reach disadvantaged and vulnerable Islington residents.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including enrolment forms, registers, and course evaluations, to ensure accurate records and timely submissions.
  • Work with learners to promote regular attendance, punctuality, and progression to further learning and employment, addressing absences as needed.
  • Incorporate digital skills and employability into course design and delivery, ensuring learners develop relevant skills for the modern workforce.
  • Engage with LBI residents through contextualized learning, effective assessment tools, and innovative teaching methods.
Requirements:
  • A Level 3 teaching qualification, such as PTLLS or AET, accompanied by relevant teaching and industry experience.
  • Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE, CSE, GCE, or equivalent).
  • Substantial adult teaching experience in community or FE college settings.

  • This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
