The East Lothian Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner to lead our nursery team. This is a 39-week sessional post working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as part of and supervise on a day-to-day basis, a team of early learning and childcare practitioners, in delivering a high-quality child-centered service.
  • To support the needs of children and families and enable each child to achieve their potential within a caring, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • To embody the school values of integrity, responsibility, and respect.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of child development and play pedagogy.
  • Experience in leading a team of early learning and childcare practitioners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Hours

Monday - Thursday, 08:00-16:00
Friday, 08:00-13:00
