Conisbrough, Doncaster, United Kingdom SHELTER Full time
Location: Flexible – London, homeworking or hybrid

Contract Type:
Fixed term contract

Working Hours:

Full time - 37 hours per week. Do you possess substantial experience in an advisory capacity, particularly focusing on financial and housing matters, coupled with a genuine commitment to enhancing individuals' financial well-being? This is the core of our mission.

Every day, countless individuals are affected by the housing crisis.
Our primary challenge is the social inequity at the heart of the growing housing dilemma.

To effectively address this issue, we must reflect the diversity of the communities we aim to assist and those who support our cause.

In collaboration with a prominent UK financial institution, we have initiated a new multi-year partnership aimed at enhancing the financial resilience of the UK population.

Our joint objective is to disrupt the detrimental cycles that contribute to poor financial health and adversely affect housing stability.

We are dedicated to enabling a significant number of individuals without stable housing to access essential banking services.

With the support of our partner, we will also engage with the broader financial services industry to better meet the needs of vulnerable clients and onboard additional charitable organizations to benefit from our services.

As a member of the National Services team within our Services Directorate, this prominent position will involve close collaboration with the Contract Manager and Partnership Manager in the High Value Partnerships team to foster a robust relationship with our banking partner.

You will serve as the primary contact for financial service providers involved in the initiative, expanding access to basic banking products and enhancing their ability to support vulnerable clients.

Managing relationships with both new and existing charities that assist individuals facing banking accessibility challenges will also be crucial.

Throughout the project, you will be tasked with promoting and expanding the initiative through networking and participation in external events and forums to ensure that objectives and outcomes are met.

We are open to discussions about flexible working arrangements, personal development, and fostering a workplace culture that values individuality and merit-based success.

Additionally, you will be skilled in risk management and mitigation, willing to train both new and existing partners, and contribute to the creation of promotional materials for the initiative.

Proficiency in various IT tools, including Microsoft Office applications, reporting systems, and communication platforms, is essential. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family-friendly policies, pension contributions, and interest-free travel loans.

Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, a cycle-to-work scheme, and an employee assistance program.

At Shelter, we assist millions of individuals each year who are grappling with inadequate housing or homelessness through our advisory, support, and legal services. We advocate for a future where no one has to seek our assistance. Our mission is to ensure that no one faces the challenges of poor housing or homelessness alone.
We prioritize diversity and maintain an inclusive and open-minded environment.
