To enhance and broaden the capabilities of Safran Engineering Services in the UK, we are seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to the advancements at Safran Electrical & Power.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the requirements for engineering initiatives, ensuring comprehensive documentation and traceability in accordance with the Requirements Management Plan.
- Gather and validate all stakeholder requirements, both internal and external.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Test Engineers to review requirements.
- Work in close partnership with the entire engineering project team to ensure timely completion of validation and verification activities, supporting the Master Engineering Reviews.
- Formulate the product verification strategy and secure consensus with all stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on requirements capture, compliance status, validation, and verification.
- Create and maintain product specification documents for both internal and customer approval.
- Coordinate with Engineering Design and DMU configurator to uphold product configuration.
- Capture and manage Interfaces and Definition Control Models (DCM) as necessary to ensure required requirements traceability.
A degree or equivalent qualification is required, with a preference for an MSc, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Systems Engineering environment.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience with Flight Qualification Programs.
- Familiarity with MBSE tools and methodologies for defining operational, functional, and physical requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in advancing DFMEA with a cross-functional development team.
- Ability to apply systematic problem-solving techniques to address challenges effectively.
- Knowledge of aviation industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines and responding to customer demands.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated project team.
