Transport Planner

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team at Butlers of Kent Ltd in Detling. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of goods across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate the movement of goods to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with drivers and other stakeholders to resolve queries and issues
- Use specialized software to book and amend jobs
- Monitor capacities and dispatch trunk vehicles on time
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft programs
- Good telephone manner and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Ability to work early and late shifts, including occasional night shifts and weekends
