This organization is seeking a dedicated Financial Operations Manager to join their finance department on a part-time schedule (30 hours per week). The selected candidate will assist the finance director and supervise a small team responsible for transactional finance tasks. This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including the preparation of timely management accounts, cash flow projections, year-end financial statements, and budget planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Overseeing the financial accounting systems for the organization and its trading subsidiaries.
- Ensuring adherence to financial regulations while collaborating with budget holders and external partners on financial issues.
- Managing invoicing processes, debt recovery, and automated BACs transactions.
- Guaranteeing precise reconciliations and supervising month-end and year-end financial procedures.
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
- Assisting in the budgeting process, financial risk assessment, and annual audit preparations.
- Reviewing weekly debtor reports and generating management reports.
- Supporting the onboarding of new schools and enhancing their financial reporting capabilities.
- Recruiting, training, and evaluating finance personnel to ensure effective succession planning.
- Acting as a deputy for the Director of Finance and contributing to leadership discussions.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
- Experience in a financial management role.
- Full or part qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
- A solid understanding of VAT regulations and charity accounting practices.
