About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Solutions Designer to join our innovative and tech-focused team. As a key member of our Data Analytics Platform Design team, you will play a crucial role in defining solutions to support a range of development and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret business requirements and define high-level solution designs that are high-performing, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Propose, evaluate, and present design options to business users and Data Engineering teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with our IT strategy and ensure solution designs align with our roadmap.
  • Support the definition of infrastructure on which solutions will run.
  • Develop an appreciation of Aviva's product set and the data sets that describe them.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to collaboratively define IT Data solutions in a complex environment, with a focus on cloud data solutions.
  • Mature understanding of ETL, Data Warehouse, and Big Data stack design and engineering.
  • Track record of delivering robust IT solution designs in a regulated, commercial environment.
  • Ability to elicit and interpret requirements from business users and liaise with data and systems SMEs.
What We Offer
  • Circa £65,000 salary (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
