Job Summary:
Devonshire Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse functions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling all warehouse activities, directing the Warehouse team, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Management: Oversee the overall responsibility for site warehousing functions, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Team Management: Direct management responsibility for the Warehouse team, leading and developing the team to ensure all processes are understood and adequate cover is available.
- Inventory Management: Manage stock control activities, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient stock movement.
- Capacity Planning: Manage capacity planning, ensuring that the warehouse is operating at optimal levels.
- Equipment Management: Manage all plant, equipment, and tools, ensuring that they are properly maintained and utilized.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for the Warehouse team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and develop the team to implement continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that processes are clear, concise, and robust.
- Reporting and Analysis: Produce reports showing KPI performance, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Requirements:
- Management Experience: Good demonstrable management skills, particularly knowledge of WMS and warehouse practices.
- Communication Skills: Good communication, written skills, and attention to detail with a service-focused attitude.
- Technical Skills: Competent in Microsoft Applications, with the ability to create clear documentation and requirements.
- Line Management Experience: Previous line management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
