About the Role

GSL Education - London is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Aspiring Psychologist - Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to gain valuable experience supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support identified children with SEN / Additional Needs in 1:1, group or whole class situations, ensuring their safety and access to learning in a purposeful and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in supporting identified children's progress and providing feedback on their achievements, progress and needs.
  • Lead small group sessions and interventions as appropriate.
  • Attend to children's personal needs where required.
  • Support with behaviour management - mild needs.
  • Undertake learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
  • Assist with the supervision of children out of lesson times, including playtimes and undertaking lunchtime duty.
Requirements
  • A graduate in any relatable degree - with a 1:1 or 2:1 classification.
  • Strong academics through A-Level / BTEC's and GCSEs.
  • Previous experience supporting children; if this is in a school-based setting, it's a plus.
  • A hard-working nature, friendly, confident - a willingness to learn and really develop your career in a fantastic, nurturing school.

What We Offer
  • A competitive daily rate of £95 - £110.
  • A long-term, full-time contract (5 days per week, Mon-Fri).
  • Working school hours, typically 8:30am - 4:00pm.
