Job Title: HGV Technician

Join Biffa Waste Services Limited as an HGV Technician and be part of a team that keeps the UK's waste management infrastructure running smoothly.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at our Sheffield Depot. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa's operator's licence commitments.
  • Repair and maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles, including light commercial vans and 44t articulated specialist assets.
  • Work with our team to ensure that all vehicles are in good working order and meet the required safety standards.
Requirements
  • Fully skilled having achieved a full level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification/City and Guilds Qualification/NVQ Qualification.
  • Technician level.
  • Must have a minimum of a car/van driving licence.
  • HGV licence desirable.
  • IRTEC Qualification desirable.
