BAM Nuttall is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Monitoring Engineer to join our team in Godstone, Surrey. As an Assistant Instrumentation and Monitoring Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our monitoring systems and data management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and process data in a timely and precise manner, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
- Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repairs of monitoring equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and minimizing delays to construction programs.
- Assist in the installation and operation of monitoring systems, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
- Conduct analysis and interpretation of monitoring data to identify potential risks and validate design assumptions.
- Ensure baseline readings are taken before construction activities, as specified in Designers and Contractors Monitoring Plans.
- Collaborate with the Instrumentation and Monitoring Manager to address engineering-related issues and develop solutions.
- Assist in the planning and procurement of instruments and sensors, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
- Install geotechnical and structural instrumentation and monitor readings, ensuring accurate data collection.
- Conduct Health and Safety Risk Assessments and develop plans to mitigate potential risks.
- Degree qualified in geotechnical/geological engineering or a related field.
- Relevant work experience is not essential, but experience in geotechnical/civil engineering and/or geotechnical/structural monitoring is desirable.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including I&M specific software, SharePoint, and bespoke reporting applications.
- Full driving license valid in the UK.
