About the Role

We are seeking a skilled lawyer to join our Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) legal team at Goldman Sachs Bank AG. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in supporting our mortgages and other receivables financing, repackaging/asset backed securities and CLO businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on the structuring and execution of transactions for our FICC businesses, including all relevant and related regulatory points and legal and reputational issues across the creation and lifecycle of these transactions.
  • Work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including trading, structuring and investment banking businesses, compliance, internal audit and operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality legal advice and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and developments in the FICC market, and provide guidance on how these changes may impact our business.

Requirements

  • A general derivatives or structured finance lawyer with a strong understanding of the FICC market and regulatory environment.
  • At least 3 years post-qualification relevant experience in a comparable institution or in a well-regarded law firm.
  • Familiarity with regulations that impact derivatives and/or structured finance businesses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively, be proactive in a challenging business environment, and respond to client demands in a timely manner.
