Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd: CNC Turner Opportunity

We are working with a precision engineering company in Ulverston, seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting and operating CNC Star Sliding Head Lathes, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC Star Sliding Head Lathes using Fanuc controls.
  • Producing high precision sub-contract components in batches from 10 to 100,000 off.
  • Operating and setting parts in various sizes of material from 2mm to 42mm.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience setting and operating fixed or sliding head CNC lathes.
  • Previous experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Right First-Time approach with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Understanding and use of precision engineering measuring equipment.
What We Offer:
  • Training will be provided for candidates looking for progression.
  • Overtime is available for evenings and weekends at time-and-a-half, and at double-time on Saturdays.
