Account Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for preparing annual accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Assist with drafting tax returns and computations
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients
  • Handle queries and correspondence with HMRC
  • Analyse data and produce accurate reports
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in preparing self-assessment tax returns, year-end accounts, and corporation tax computations
  • Currently studying towards AAT, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines and take a proactive approach
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for figures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and self-driven
  • Ability to work towards individual and team targets
  • Problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing excellent service
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate and organise
