Job Overview

Service Care Solutions is seeking a Lead Building Compliance Officer to oversee and enhance our Building Control operations.

This role is part-time and offers a competitive hourly rate.

The primary objective of this position is to provide effective leadership and ensure the strategic implementation of building control services, both chargeable and non-chargeable, while collaborating with various stakeholders to promote high-quality construction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional leadership by motivating team members, conducting regular performance reviews, and facilitating career development opportunities.
  • Champion the Building Control function by developing and executing an annual business strategy, managing resources effectively, and ensuring prompt service delivery to clients.
  • Utilize delegated authority to assess all building regulation submissions, serve as an expert witness, and manage formal enforcement actions.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budget preparation and fee determination, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and achieving operational sustainability.
  • Ensure timely execution of inspections, plan assessments, and notice evaluations, adhering to organizational policies and performance benchmarks to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • HND/C or Degree/Diploma in Building or Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in a senior building control role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations and related legislation.
  • Strong financial management capabilities to oversee budgets and resources.
