About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join our team in Glasgow. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex engineering projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-performing engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet customer needs
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Work closely with programme managers and project design authorities to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Define and implement project-specific processes, practices, and tools to ensure delivery
  • Manage and report on engineering efficiency and identify opportunities for re-use and improvement
  • Act as a people manager for the engineering team, providing feedback and guidance to team members

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in engineering and engineering management on large programmes
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully defining and leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple parallel objectives
  • Knowledge and experience of naval products is beneficial
