Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Children's Home Manager to lead the setup of a new provision in a residential children's home. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the registration process with Ofsted and ensure compliance with statutory and organisational policies
  • Recruit, induct, and develop a staff team to provide high-quality care and support
  • Lead and manage care and placement planning to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people
  • Maintain professional relationships with multi-agency partnerships and stakeholders
  • Oversee budgeting and financial management to ensure the effective use of resources
  • Provide professional supervision and training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Facilitate Ofsted inspections and regulatory reports to ensure continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 3/4 in Children and Young People (CYP) or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of managerial experience within a children's residential service
  • Comprehensive knowledge of attachment theory and quality standards
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and regulatory reports
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Level 5 or a willingness to undertake QCF Level 5 in leadership and management
