Position: Personalized GCSE English and Maths Tutor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored one-on-one tutoring sessions in GCSE English and Maths.
  • Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the unique learning requirements of each student.
  • Regularly evaluate and track student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Identify specific areas needing improvement and provide targeted support as necessary.
  • Inspire and motivate students to reach their academic aspirations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of student attendance and academic performance.
Essential Qualifications:

A degree in English, Maths, or Education, along with a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) and an enhanced DBS check.

Educational Background:

A degree in a relevant field such as English, Maths, or Education.

Experience Requirements:

Prior experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE-level students, with a background in working with diverse learning needs and familiarity with the GCSE curriculum.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in special education or support for students with special educational needs (SEN).

Work Environment:

Part-time hours with a flexible schedule, primarily conducting sessions in students' homes, which may require travel. Adherence to safeguarding and child protection policies is essential.
