We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Outdoor Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Tiverton. This full-time, temp-to-perm role involves working closely with teaching personnel to support learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across four Forest School sites in Devon.

As a SEN Outdoor Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing an engaging and supportive outdoor learning experience for students, helping them thrive in a natural and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with ASD and SEMH needs in outdoor learning activities.
  • Work closely with teaching personnel to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide tailored support to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with ASD and SEMH needs.
  • Knowledge of Forest School principles and outdoor education practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of individual students and provide tailored support.

Additional Information:

  • This role involves travel between the four Forest School sites in Devon.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
