About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join our Marine Power Team in Segensworth, UK. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for executing daily service tasks, including component inspections, overhauling, and modifications on 4-stroke engine components.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily workshop service tasks, such as component inspections, overhauling, and modifications on 4-stroke engine components.
- Undergo training to gain the necessary competencies to excel in this role.
- Liaise closely with the Workshop Team Leader and other Workshop Technicians to ensure work scopes are completed within the specified delivery schedule.
- Ensure all activities in the workshop and on-site are carried out in accordance with site safety rules and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety standard ISO 45001/2018.
- Ensure all work is carried out to ISO 9001/2015 standards.
- Play an integral part in the workshop team, striving to achieve common goals and customer requirements, which may involve working overtime hours.
- Acknowledge and adapt to any ad-hoc duties that may arise.
- Carry out proactive preventative maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
- Perform all tasks to ensure maximum stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
- HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in the Marine Sector and specifically in maintaining 4-stroke engines.
- A genuine interest in Engineering and working with your hands.
