About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal MicroArchitect/Concept Engineer to join our team at Infineon Technologies. As a key member of our automotive microcontroller business line, you will be responsible for translating customer application requirements into microcontroller system architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate customer application needs into models or descriptions of our functional building blocks
  • Take ownership for specifying cross-functional building blocks, acting as the technical expert, and developing concepts for both hardware and software aspects
  • Be the interface between our customers, application engineering, and development teams while building cross-functional networks
  • Be the specification owner, aiming for the best possible compromise between customers and Infineon needs
  • Own and create the corresponding technical documentations such as specification, functional safety analysis, and user manual to provide the requested functional descriptions and documents to guarantee ISO26262 compliance
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in Concept/Architecture, IC design/verification, or related fields
  • Very good knowledge of state-of-the-art high-scale integrated SoCs based on latest technologies, high-performance & low power microcontroller product infrastructure
  • Experience in defining hardware specifications and user manuals
  • Microcontroller and automotive application know-how are a plus
  • Basic knowledge about safety standards and applications (e.g., ISO26262, ISO21434, and/or FMEDA) is a plus
  • Fluency in English (mandatory)
