This role involves a commitment of hours per week.

Are you eager to embark on a career in clinical research? We are pleased to present an opportunity to join our Research Team as a Clinical Research Coordinator.

In this position, you will collaborate with the research team to engage participants for clinical trials and various research initiatives.

At The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, we are dedicated to integrating research into patient care, thereby enhancing patient experiences and outcomes across diverse specialties and portfolios, both commercial and non-commercial. Our involvement spans national and international clinical trials, where we recruit participants for innovative and pioneering research.

You will receive comprehensive support as you acquire new skills and expand your existing knowledge and experience, with training focused on research competencies and skills development.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit, ready to support an established team of research nurses and physicians in recruiting and monitoring patients participating in research trials. This role will also require communication with external research collaborators, including pharmaceutical companies, research networks, and clinical trial units.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent
  • Educated to A-level or equivalent standard, or through relevant experience

Desirable

  • Good Clinical Practice training
  • Clinical Skills training, including venepuncture and ECG recording

Experience

Essential

  • Proven ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
  • Experience in a role requiring effective prioritization of workload with minimal supervision

Desirable

  • Experience in a healthcare or related field
  • Experience in a clinical research or research environment
