About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Contracts and Legal Director to join our team at Adanola. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our company's legal interests and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Legal Advice: Offer expert legal guidance and support to our management team on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft and Negotiate Contracts: Develop, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements, including supplier contracts, distribution agreements, and licensing agreements.
  • Manage Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Advise on and manage litigation and dispute resolution matters to protect our company's interests.
  • Intellectual Property Management: Oversee the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Changes: Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to our operations and ensure that we maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with External Advisors: Work closely with external lawyers and other advisors as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for our company.
  • Develop and Implement Policies: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • Experience: In-house counsel with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong background in commercial, employment, corporate, and intellectual property law.
  • Senior Stakeholder Experience: Experience dealing directly with senior stakeholders within a business.
  • Online Retail Experience: Previous experience in online retail is a must.
