Exciting Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Steel Connexions Ltd, a specialist recruitment company dedicated to the structural steelwork industry and associated trades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cost control and cost estimation for construction projects
  • Prepare and analyze project budgets, including material, labor, and equipment costs
  • Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used
  • Prepare reports and presentations on cost analysis findings
Requirements:
  • Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Previous experience working as a QS for 3 – 4 years
  • Ability to read drawings/specs
  • Knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
