About the Role

The SAUL Trustee Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Corporate Service Officer. This role is a key member of our Executive Management Team and is responsible for contributing to the strategy, governance, and management of our Trustee Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of our strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our Trustee Company's objectives.
  2. Monitor and report on compliance matters, ensuring that our operations are in line with relevant regulations and legislation.
  3. Take ownership of our Universal Pensions Management (UPM) system, ensuring that it operates effectively and efficiently to deliver high-quality services to our members.
  4. Lead, coach, and develop staff and managers within your teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  5. Monitor and address complaints, feedback, and compliments, identifying opportunities to enhance our services and improve member satisfaction.
  6. Ensure that high-quality services are delivered in a timely and appropriate manner, meeting the needs of our members and participating employers.
  7. Identify and manage risks, taking proactive steps to mitigate potential issues and ensure the long-term sustainability of our Trustee Company.
  8. Demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension administration calculations, processes, and systems, with a preference for extensive experience with pension platforms, particularly UPM.
  9. Effectively manage departmental budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support our operations.
  10. Bring a minimum of three years' experience in leading and managing pensions administration delivery teams, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and achieving operational excellence.
  11. Possess industry-recognized qualifications, such as the Associate of the Pensions Management Institute (APMI) or equivalent, or relevant experience.
  12. Display a detailed understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and the implications of non-compliance, ensuring that our operations remain compliant and up-to-date.
  13. Be able to support and develop other members of staff and line managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  14. Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on people and values, and excellent planning and organizing skills.
