ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Electrical Compliance Specialist will integrate into the maintenance division, serving as the primary authority on all electrical systems employed in the manufacturing facility. A comprehensive understanding of regulatory standards and the management of systems and documentation is essential to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
KEY DUTIES:
- Enforcing legislative standards for electrical infrastructure.
- Identifying enhancements for plant reliability and operational efficiency.
- Specifying and executing associated health and safety protocols.
- Evaluating electrical training programs within the engineering team.
- Maintaining electrical schematics, manuals, and documentation.
- Overseeing small-scale capital projects.
- Providing support and management for subcontractors.
- Managing both low and high voltage electrical systems.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified Engineer preferred with a minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering and familiarity with 18th edition wiring regulations.
- Proven experience with diverse electrical systems, including HV Switching, Fixed Wire Testing, PLC Control, and Testing and Inspection.
- Knowledge of all electrical documentation and regulatory standards. Specific experience with Compex regulations, DSEAR, and wiring in explosive environments is advantageous.
- IOSH certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Security clearance checks will be required (5 years of British residency).
