Job Title: Real Estate Finance Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Finance Associate to join our team at Blackstone. As a key member of our Real Estate Finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the valuation and financial analysis of our European real estate funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Valuation and Financial Analysis: Work closely with our Revantage, portfolio management and asset management teams to ensure timely and accurate quarterly valuation data for our European funds.
  • Performance Reporting: Lead the preparation of European valuations and fund performance summaries, liaising with senior management and our New York Head office for review.
  • Portfolio Analytics: Provide key portfolio analytics across the Funds.
  • Forecasting: Lead the quarterly forecast process, including consolidation of deal-level projections, preparation of materials for regional review with our European Head of Asset Management and CFO, and submission of data to NY for global discussion.
  • Investor Relations: Work closely with our investor relations team to gather, analyze, and summarize data and commentary for our quarterly investor letters.
  • Reporting: Prepare investor-specific reporting, including fund-level forecasts, performance summaries, and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Management Pack: Oversee the preparation of our quarterly management pack for distribution to our European and Global leadership team.
  • Technology and Process Transformation: Support ongoing technology and process transformation initiatives in the areas of liquidity management, debt reporting, and valuations.
  • COE Team Lead: Lead our India-based COE team for all activities relating to valuations, fund performance, and forecasting processes.

Requirements:

  • Highly Motivated Individual: A highly motivated individual with a reputation for excellence and achievement and a mindset for self-improvement and growth.
  • Strong Analytical and Financial Skills: Strong analytical and financial skills, including strong knowledge of finance and accounting and exceptional Excel and PowerPoint expertise.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in team environments and develop/maintain internal and external relationships is critical.
  • Superior Quantitative and Qualitative Analytical Skills: Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, strong knowledge of finance and accounting.
  • High Level of Integrity: A high level of integrity and standard of professional conduct is essential.
  • Qualifications: Degree qualified, CFA an advantage or ACA with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
