Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Watford. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher and students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in all areas of the primary curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage behaviour and support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and presenting lessons.
  • Support in lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all children.
  • Work with small groups and 1:1 to provide individualized support and guidance.
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot.
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentations and maintain discipline.

Requirements:

  • Calm and caring personality that is able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Strong and resilient personality that is able to cope with the demands of the role.
  • Reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills that are essential for the role.
  • Team Teach trained or willingness to attend training.
