About the Role

We are excited to be working with a leading leisure and fitness company that is looking to expand its Legal team by adding a Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and contribute to the company's mission of keeping its members fit and healthy through state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing contracts (drafting, reviewing, negotiating commercial agreements, including supplier contracts, service agreements, licenses, SaaS agreements)
  • Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders on matters such as regulatory compliance, employment law, intellectual property, GDPR, and consumer law
  • Overseeing compliance and risk management
  • Delivering training and development within the business
Requirements
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
  • Proactive team player who is eager to immerse themselves in the business
  • Commercial acumen is essential
