Job Title: SHEQ Officer - Health and Safety Specialist
Job Summary:
Vickerstock is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Officer to join our team. As a SHEQ Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and clients, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and Analyze Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with new health and safety legislation and lead risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Quality and Compliance: Maintain and update ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, and conduct occupational health surveys to ensure a safe working environment.
- Training and Development: Ensure all employees receive required EHS training, including new hire inductions, and participate in monthly Health and Safety conference calls and meetings.
- Communication and Collaboration: Provide HSE and compliance support and advice to the business, promote a positive safety and compliance culture, and chair monthly Health and Safety meetings.
- Audits and Inspections: Coordinate external audits and manage on-site audits, oversee material testing, and ensure product quality.
- Customer Service: Investigate and resolve customer complaints, non-conformance issues, and scrappage, and arrange hazardous waste disposal.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a Health and Safety role, with a relevant NEBOSH qualification.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, good communication skills, and excellent IT skills (MS Office).
- Desirable: Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, internal auditor certifications, and management experience.
