Job Overview

Morson Talent is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team at a leading defence manufacturer. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Certify products in accordance with established procedures and protocols
  • Conduct thorough examinations to ensure correct assembly and finish of all parts
  • Inspect for physical damage and defects, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Perform intermediate inspection checks to ensure compliance with product certification requirements
  • Monitor product certification operators and ensure adherence to procedures
  • Manage and maintain relevant documentation, including inspection reports and defect records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures and protocols applicable to the manufacturing process
  • Meet inspection deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity

Requirements:

  • Formal technical engineering or craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC
  • Several years' experience as a skilled person in a similar role
  • IPC 610 certification or training preferred
