Software Engineer - Network and Embedded Systems

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Product Software team at HUBER+SUHNER Polatis. As a Network Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing software solutions for our industry-leading all-optical network switch.

The successful candidate will have experience in C programming, Linux-based systems development, and networking concepts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and contribute to the development of software architecture, design, integration, and testing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing software solutions using C, considering product requirements and design constraints.
  • Developing or reviewing software verification plans with Test engineers.
  • Integrating software (Linux) with hardware, utilizing hands-on experience and comprehension of various hardware protocols.
  • Producing project artifacts and providing documentation related to product design.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software debugging, Agile software development, and experience with software build systems (Yocto), continuous integration tools, and scripting languages.
