About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist to join our innovative team at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. As an Orthoptist Specialist, you will be responsible for the diagnosis and management of new and follow-up cases of adult ocular motility disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage new and follow-up cases of adult ocular motility disorders
  • Work closely with consultant ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of the Orthoptic department's strategic plan

Person Specification

  • Orthoptic Degree
  • Health Care Professions Council registration
  • Evidence of recent professional development
  • Postgraduate clinical teaching qualification or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Broad range of experience in specialist Orthoptic areas
  • Assertive and able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
