Role Overview
The primary objective of this role is to assist in the definition, communication, and governance of the end-to-end Business Operations application architecture across various local markets and global business functions that support our worldwide operations. This position is integral to the technology strategy and architecture team, focusing on maintaining the architectural capability framework, establishing clear boundaries with other technology domains, and offering architectural guidance to both group functions and local markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop target and interim state architectures while maintaining a reference architecture model.
- Define and uphold the IT Roadmap for Group Functions.
- Create capability roadmaps that drive value.
- Review, align, and govern solutions from local markets and global business functions.
- Shape new demands, align them with our target architecture, and manage long-term roadmaps and solution catalogs.
- Provide architectural guidance to group functions, local markets, and project teams.
- Ensure that solution architectural designs comply with the enterprise architecture guidelines and principles.
What You Will Do:
- Engage in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive Enterprise Architecture deliverables, including Strategy and Reference Architectures, coordinating input from various architecture stakeholders.
- Participate in the creation, ownership, and publication of the IT Architecture and Strategy, collaborating with Local Market Architecture Leads to align local strategies, architectures, and roadmaps with the overall IT Architecture and Strategy, Enterprise Data Model, and IT Roadmap.
- Collaborate with local markets and group technology teams to implement Digital organizations, fostering inner source communities, co-creating Architecture Blueprints, and supporting the rollout and optimization of DevOps tools and Agile methodologies.
- Take part in designing and executing Architectural Governance across relevant stakeholders and participating Vodafone organizations.
- Produce, support, and guide the delivery of Target, Transitional, and Solution Architectures for business and IT transformation initiatives through appropriate Architectural Artifacts, Deliverables, and Communications.
Who You Are:
- Ability to articulate and define complex architectures in a straightforward manner to stakeholders, supported by a structured analytical approach and high-quality Architectural Artifacts and Deliverables.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence senior levels across Vodafone Local Markets, Partners, Affiliates, and Suppliers, presenting complex ideas simply. Proven experience in effectively presenting Architecture concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Industry experience in Telecommunications with a track record of implementing solutions in large enterprise environments, preferably with experience in cloud engineering and API-driven architectures. Knowledge of SAP is also advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects that span multiple disciplines, ideally within a large telecommunications or Digital organization, encompassing Enterprise Architecture, Business, and IT environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applications, integration, and data architecture methodologies and industry best practices, with a particular emphasis on cloud solutions.
