As a key member of the Conventus Solutions Limited team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products while driving innovation and continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to enhance our product offerings and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. You will act as the technical expert within the Food Team, providing guidance and support to ensure the development of high-quality food products.
  2. Identify, develop, and specify food products to meet customer requirements, taking into account their needs and preferences.
  3. Collaborate with multiple suppliers to ensure product compliance with Food Quality Standards, fostering strong relationships and driving mutual success.
  4. Liaise with food suppliers to identify common commercial food products, leveraging industry knowledge and expertise.
  5. Drive product innovation, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies to stay ahead of the competition.
  6. Ensure pricing aligns with contractual obligations by coordinating with the Commercial team, maintaining a keen eye on financial performance.
  7. Organize and oversee food selection panels and range reviews with suppliers and customers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  8. Support strategic supplier negotiations and participate in supplier reviews, providing valuable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. HNC or equivalent qualification in Food Science and Technology, with a strong foundation in food safety and quality control.
  2. Prior experience in product development is highly advantageous, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Strong leadership skills in food selection panels, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  4. Skill in developing balanced menus and nutritional requirements within commercial constraints, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  5. Proficiency in understanding the end-to-end supply chain process, with a keen eye on efficiency and effectiveness.
