Role: Cyber Security Analyst

Cybit is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our Security Operations Centre Team in Belfast. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing security systems, identifying and patching vulnerabilities, and improving overall cyber resilience across the company.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for cyber security and a strong background in IT. The ideal candidate will have a degree in an IT-related field and experience working in a 1st/2nd line support role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing security systems and identifying vulnerabilities
  • Patching vulnerabilities and improving cyber resilience
  • Working with the Security Operations Centre team to respond to security incidents
  • Providing technical support to customers via telephone, email, and customer portal
  • Collaborating with the IT team to ensure the security of company systems and data
Requirements:
  • Minimum one to two years of experience working in a 1st/2nd line support role
  • Strong knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and cyber security technologies
  • Experience with SIEM technologies such as QRadar, Splunk, or Microsoft Sentinel
  • Current SC clearance or suitability for assessment
  • Knowledge of cyber security threats and risk analysis
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
