Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering technical assistance to end users, diagnosing and resolving application-related challenges, and ensuring the functionality and availability of applications through vigilant monitoring and proactive upkeep of essential systems within the application suite. We particularly welcome candidates with a strong background in small to medium enterprises (SMEs), where they have developed their skills across a diverse range of technologies such as PowerShell, .NET, SharePoint, SQL, database management, and the Microsoft modern workplace. Ideal candidates will possess substantial experience in a data-centric, engineering, or consulting context and demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for embracing innovation and adapting to new challenges. The role requires a flexible individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities, smoothly transitioning between tasks, collaborating with various teams, and devising creative solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting - Promptly investigate and resolve technical issues reported by usersCollaborate with users to identify underlying causes and provide effective solutions. Technical Assistance - Offer guidance and support to users facing challenges with applications
Provide clear instructions for resolving common issues.
Issue Resolution - Collaborate closely with development teams to address application-related concerns
Implement solutions, including software updates and enhancements.
Documentation - Develop and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base articles to assist users in better understanding and utilizing applications. Monitoring - Track application performance metrics and utilize these insights to proactively address potential issues and enhance performance.
Performance Enhancement - Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving application performance
Enhance the overall user experience by optimizing system responsiveness and efficiency.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in application support within a diverse application environment, utilizing various programming languages. Strong understanding of application support best practices. Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., C#, Java, PowerShell, TypeScript)Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a creative mindset to propose innovative solutions and the determination to resolve even the most challenging issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and their services (e.g., Azure, AWS) Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). Experience with large-scale SharePoint deployments (both cloud and on-premises) Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and their administrative requirements.Working Environment
