Senior Geriatrician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Physician in Geriatrics, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of our geriatric medicine services.

• Provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of geriatric medicine services, including service redesign and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• MB ChB/MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MRCP or equivalent specialist qualification.
• CCT in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent (CESR or European Community rights) or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview or on the Specialist Register.
• Extensive training and experience in General Internal Medicine as well as Geriatric Medicine.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to multidisciplinary work and team leadership.

• CCT in GIM (General Internal Medicine) or equivalent or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview) or on the Specialist Register.
• Evidence of ability to pursue independent research.
• Specific training in communications skills, teaching, and management.
