Construction Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our client's Regional Civils team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of a major infrastructure project in a safety-critical environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on statutory and best practice requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site inspections to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Support project managers in site investigations and provide expert advice on health and safety matters
- Prepare comprehensive reports on site visits, inspections, audits, and investigations
- Review and update project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Develop and implement effective health and safety training programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a positive health and safety culture
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Grad IOSH or working towards CMIOSH
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) competence
- Security clearance through United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV)
- Strong understanding of CDM2015 Roles and Responsibilities
- Experience in incident investigation and analysis
- Demonstrable experience in a health and safety advisory role within construction
- Strong HS&E legal knowledge and practical application
- Experience in delivering HS&E training and development programs
- Proven track record of delivering health and safety support to multiple project teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
