Aramark UK is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef Manager to join the team at Sainsburys Pineham Distribution Centre in Northampton. This is a permanent and full-time opportunity working 40 hours a week across a range of days and shifts. The successful candidate will report to our Account Director and be responsible for all food production across the site.

Aramark provides world-class contract catering services to a diverse range of clients across the UK, including Defence and Judicial, private industry, and Education. We are proud to have a talented team of culinary professionals working with us.

A Day in the Life of a Chef Manager:

  • Managing a busy 24-7 distribution centre
  • Covering food production in the absence of other chefs
  • Accountability for all operational food management, production, and service
  • Developing strong commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service and financial returns
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily paper and computer work, including inventories and reports
  • Managing budget food subsidy, including GP and labour costs
  • Overseeing casual labour, including porters, and ensuring food and labour costs align with budget and business needs
  • Ensuring a consistent high standard of hospitality offer

  • Experience as a chef, with the ability to run a kitchen and manage a team
  • Hands-on and reliable, with a strong work ethic
