Exciting Opportunity in Clinical Psychology

This is a unique chance to join our team as a Clinical Psychologist in the North West Spinal Injuries Centre. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychological services to individuals with spinal injuries and their families. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing psychological care plans, and you will have the opportunity to work with a range of professionals to increase the psychological mindedness of the service.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team. You will be responsible for providing specialist assessment, treatment, and consultancy services to individuals with spinal injuries and their families. You will also have the opportunity to work on outreach projects and contribute to the development of our psychology service.

Please note that this recruitment process will include an assessment centre.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals with spinal injuries and their families.
  2. Developing and implementing psychological care plans in collaboration with other professionals.
  3. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to increase the psychological mindedness of the service.
  4. Providing training and supervision to junior staff members.
  5. Contributing to the development of our psychology service and implementing new initiatives.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist with:

  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology.
  • Professional registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
  • Experience of working in a specialist field, such as spinal injuries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
