We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Churchill, a 57-bed inpatient mental health hospital for men in South / Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our 17-bedded male acute service, providing a safe and stabilizing environment for men experiencing an acute episode of mental illness.

About the Role
  • Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management, and embed clinical governance
  • Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings, and attend hearings
  • Participate in the 1 in 3 Second telephone on-call rota

Requirements
  • Fully GMC Registered on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry
  • MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in General Adult Psychiatry
  • Knowledgeable of current issues in General Adult Psychiatry and the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
  • A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients, and write clear, comprehensive medical notes
  • Committed to continued professional development
  • Has actively participated in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes
