Service Engineer for Automation Solutions
Join the dynamic team at Global Logistics Staff Ltd as a Service Engineer. This role is integral to our client's success in Robotic Automation, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to their innovative projects. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting the company's growth by attending to customer service requests, conducting regular maintenance, and collaborating with fellow engineers on installations.
Compensation: £25,000.00-£45,000.00 annually (commensurate with experience) plus additional earnings for on-call duties.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver, capable of working independently. As a self-motivated individual, you will coordinate with the Field Operations Manager to effectively manage your schedule.
In the role of Service Engineer, you will operate from the Bellshill office and travel to client locations as necessary to install, maintain, and repair equipment.
Comprehensive training on our products will be provided, along with additional manufacturer-specific training as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Building, installing, and supporting our products
- Ensuring exceptional client service
- Providing out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rotation
- Maintaining a professional demeanor in all communications
- Reporting progress or delays promptly to the Field Operations Manager
- Completing and submitting risk assessments, work reports, activity logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner
Qualifications for Consideration:
- A formal engineering qualification or HNC/HND level education, or a minimum of 2 years of field service experience
- Experience in electrical installation (18th Edition qualification preferred); PASMA and IPAF certifications are advantageous
- Adaptability with tools and strong computer skills
- Quick-thinking and effective problem-solving abilities
- Organized with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent time management capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- A valid UK driver's license
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally
