Estimator Commercial Glazing Systems Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing estimates for the design, fabrication, and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate production for commercial glazing projects
  • Review tender documents and create high-quality tender returns
  • Utilize estimating software to determine material costs
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers and gather quotations for projects
  • Liaise with main contractors throughout the project and beyond
  • Update the internal CRM system regularly
  • Prepare handover documents for the contracts department
  • Attend pre and post-tender meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Estimating experience within the fenestration market sector
  • Strong background in architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire-rated glazing, structural glazing, windows, and doors
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • IT literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
