About the Role

As a Physiotherapist - Functional Assessor with Maximus, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities or health conditions navigate the benefits system. Your clinical expertise will be utilized to conduct thorough assessments, gathering information about how a person's condition affects their daily life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand the impact of a person's condition on their daily life
  • Use your clinical knowledge to produce detailed reports that help the Department for Work and Pensions determine eligibility for benefits
  • Work with a diverse range of cases, handling challenging situations with empathy and professionalism

Requirements

  • HCPC registered physiotherapist with 1 year's broad post-registration experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work towards individual and team targets in a supportive environment
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
